Show Jumping Team head to Hartpury

With the new season underway how elated we were when the NTRC team shone at the Duchy and following the champagne corks we found out the team had won the competition!!

Perhaps this is what we need to gain even more members....

Team success in 2009 already!

17 teams from across the South West descended on Duchy College on Sunday 15th February for the British Riding Clubs Area 19 novice indoor senior & junior showjumping qualifiers for the 2009 competition year.

Amongst the competitors were 7 members of North Tawton Riding Club who with high hopes, enthusiasm and camaraderie took on the challenge of the indoor show jumping courses constructed to test horse and rider. The club entered two teams and all members excelled themselves finishing the day with our white team qualifying for the next round at Hartpury college taking first place.

The team consisting of Wendy Welch, Vicky Pincombe, Jo Herbert and Stephanie Hicks have gone from strength to strength under the guidance and support of Elizabeth Lee who was elated herself at the results today. Well done to the team and heres looking forward to the next one! Remember if you want to join the training sessions or the teams just give us a call

Every Sunday for the foreseeable future there is an opportunity for NTRC members old and new to come along to Betham stables between Winkleigh and Chulmleigh for a subsidised training and assessment session with Elizabeth Lee and if you fancy joining the teams in the future this is the session for you!- if your interested please contact Elizabeth for available times on 01363 772734
